It peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 and produced the top 20 hit "Fire and Ice", the single would win Benatar her second Grammy Award, this time for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance of 1981 which reached #17 on the U.S. Pop chart and #2 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart, and "Promises in the Dark", which reached #38 on the U.S. Pop chart and #16 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart. It was also her first LP to chart in the UK, reaching #30.
