The first Beatles compilation ever issued in the U.S.. In 1972, Alpha-Omega was released on both vinyl and 8-track and was made available via TV advertised mail-order. Audio Tape Inc. the manufacture and promoter of the bootleg tapes, probably went a bit too far by advertising this compilation via television. Well, once Capitol Records the rightful owners of the material got wind of it, they would have no part of it and slapped an injunction on them before it was time for dinner. A lot of the bootleg sets were purchased and shipped in the mail and a lot were also destroyed or sold underground that were manufactured. With the great audio quality from the bootleg and the great price, it was an easy sell.
