Dig it, these guys can play. They've played and learned from the masters of the B3 trio art form. That's what they do. It's what they love to do. In clubs, to real people...most surprisingly, deep in the heart of Texas. How unlikely, how perfect. The best B3 club in the country may very well be in Austin, Texas...The Continental Gallery. That's where they hold court...and play to the same everyday people who listened this music back in the day. And it still has the same effect. A stone cold groove for everyone involved. Dig it.
This album was recorded and produced live in the studio straight to 2 track tape by Jim Eno, no post mixing or overdubbing possible.
Recorded and produced by Jim Eno, Austin, Texas. Public HI-FI Records.

Austin Chronicle Review >
Dupree's Sunday night residency at the Continental Club Gallery spotlights Mike Flanigin on Hammond B-3 organ, Kyle Thompson behind the drum kit, and guitarist Jake Langley. Their greasy, funky grooves recall Big John Patton's Blue Note sides and Jack McDuff on Prestige Records. In trying to capture a live-in-the-studio sound, the trio turned to ace Austin producer Jim Eno, who recorded the entire LP in one afternoon, direct to 2-track analog tape with no editing or overdubs. Nuestro Camino (Our Path) thus becomes the first release on the Spoon drummer's Public Hi-Fi label. Flanigin really goes to town on the original "KC" and his tribute to B-3 maven Leon Spencer is a gas. Langley, a veteran of Joey DeFrancesco's organ trio and Elias Haslanger's Church On Monday juggernaut, remains one of the hottest guitarists in Austin. He's superb throughout, particularly on his own "Malibu Classic" and Horace Silver's smokin' blues, "Cookin' at the Continental."
